I'm sorry to do this here, as it's not really for personal messeges but I'm not sure if you got my e-mail or maybe you sent a reply to another e-mail address. Anyway, I'll get to my point, I really love the Flash on your page and wanted to know if you were able to do something similar for my page. I really have nothing to give you (Across the Pond Award, maybe?) but if you're willing to help then I'd appreciate it. Thank you. To the rest of you, I'm sorry for posting this here and I'll try never to do it again.

Hey, it's cool man! It's at least a little bit on topic! More than some of the topics around here! This place isn't really known for being on topic.
And besides I basically asked this same question earlier...but I wanted to know if Flash is code based or a prgram thing, and how she did it.
Give me a fish and I eat for a day, teach me to catch fish and I'll probably go fishing once, never clean the fish, let them go bad and pride myself on my fish stick cooking prowess.

oh, flash 5 is a program. it's very versatile, but I have only figured out a fraction of it. The one one my page was made from an old John Byrne drawing. Making this animation was something like two days of work, and sorry, I don't take requests.
The basic idea behind idea behind flash is that you gives it a couple of pictures, "frames" and the program fills in the spaces inbetween, so you get a smooth animationsequence. You can inbed a .wav file too. You can also inport a pixelated picture, but it's better to use a vector type image, because it takes up less memoryspace and stays crisp and smooth in rescaling. In this case I scanned the Byrne drawing, and ran it trough Coreltrace to make it into a line image.
Flash 5 has decent drawing and coloring possibilities of itself. But the best thing about it is that when you finish the animation, Flash compresses it into an amazing small file, the one on my website is about 60 kb I think. The small animated .gif that was there before it was about 100 kb!
Flash also has extensive programming abilities, you can make all sorts of interactive things with it, but I have to admit I have no idea how that works, being really no programmer.

Elwing - I already downloaded Flash 5 but for some reason it only has 20 days left. I must have downloaded a trial version. I also don't have the skills or time to make one. It's not a problem that you don't take requests though, I know other people are busy too.
I'm just looking for someone to put all my pictures (that I'm making) into a little movie. Well, maybe not little. I was thinking making it about 2-3 minutes if that's possible. And I guess I may have to pay someone to do it, as it's rather large. Would anyone be willing to do it for $50?

At the risk of sounding unfriendly, but don't you think it is better to invest time and money in the site itself? I mean, flash is nice, but it's hardly essential. Besides, a long flash movie made of a lot of pixelmaps will probably make a hefty download. Just add up the kb's of the seperate maps. The flash will probably not be much smaller that the total of that. Will your visitors wait that long?
flash: keep it small and sweet, and use it sparingly...

I invest a lot more time then I should towards my page. I've put tons of pages up in something like 3 months. I'd like something real cool and original to open it up though. People will come from far and wide to see this little movie, even if they have to wait 30 seconds to watch it. But I really only have time to make the pics, not to learn the whole program. I have a whole idea in my head of how my Flash movie will look and I think it wouldn't be too difficult.
